Hurricane Pen Turners Jaws are the perfect solution for those who want to drill their pen blanks on the lathe. This is an easy and accurate way to drill holes through the center of your pen or project blank. In expansion mode, they also have a second function of being able to expand into a dovetail recess while keeping your work about 1" away from the chuck face. this is a great solution for platters and wide, shallow bowls.
Features:
An excellent choice for drilling pen blanks on the lathe. These jaws will center your pen blank and allow you to drill a perfect hole, every time. They also have extended Dovetail Jaws that are used in expansion mode for internal holding within a dovetail recess. The dovetail is set away from the flat jaw surface by about 1 inch. This gives you better access to the bottom of the bowl for easier tool work while your bowl is on the lathe.
